 After going through the reptile exhibit, Grandma found the bird exhibit, which happened to have an adult sloth with a baby clinging to it climbing among the branches. Grandpa held up Max to take a look while Pierce studied them through his binoculars. |

 On Monday, the Fourth of July, Pierce came home from visiting the Tardy's to say there was to be a parade in 15 minutes and could he please go with them to participate. The Tardys took Pierce and his bike and we took Max and his stroller and all went to the clubhouse where the parade was forming. |

 Angela and Seth returned from their trip on the evening of the Fourth and Seth immediately started the neighborhood fireworks display. Pierce and Dad shared a moment with sparklers at the end of the evening. |
