From Sand Springs, we drove to Keystone Lake, first to the north side of Arkansas River below the dam, where we saw white pelicans, gulls, cormorants, egrets and Yellow-rumped Warblers in the RV park. Then we drove around to Keystone Lake State Park on the south side of the river. There we saw at least three Red-Headed Woodpeckers. You can see some of the nuts and seeds the bird has stashed in a crack in the bark of the tree.
