We arrived at the Viera Wetlands before sunup and it was very foggy. Viera is Czechoslovakian for 'hope.' The Duda family, from Czechoslovakia, farmed the area. Viera is a planned community, including this multi-use wastewater treatment facility that was also designed as a bird habitat and for birding.
