We were leaving the area when MH noticed a Common Loon in Galveston Bay. When we got out and started looking, we found two of them. JC and I walked onto the lot next door to get a closer photo; the lot had a foundation, like it hadn't been rebuilt after a hurricane, and a small dock we climbed out on. This lighter colored bird stayed farther out.
