We had been alerted by some of the locals at BSW that, this being Easter weekend, we might have a long wait at the ferry over to Galveston Island, but we decided to take a chance. There were 2-3 lanes of cars and we were directed to the random inspection lane; I guess as a reward we were the first cars allowed on the ferry after a wait of less than 10 minutes. While we waited Mary got this picture of three Neotropic Cormorants and a Laughing Gull on a rail of the pier.
