Most of the OCAS group left from BSW and headed home this morning, but a few of us retired folks were staying. Mary and I headed down Bolivar Peninsula to meet MH and JC and stopped at Rollover Pass. The tide was much higher than when we'd been there before with fewer islands for the birds to rest on. This Sanderling was wandering at the water's edge. Note black area around bend of folded wing, straight bill and white underparts, except for slight markings on neck (per BD).
