Far out in a field, we saw a pond with what appear to be Blue-Winged Teal.

Far across a creek, we spotted a couple of Acorn Woodpeckers on a tree.

Then there were three.

This juvenile Chipping Sparrow (per Bill D) hopped among the rocks along the creek--long notched tail, black eye line to lores, back markings similar to adults.

As we were leaving, we noticed the fence we'd been staying behind was the border to Far West Texas Birding Area.

Back out on the highway, Nancy, Nancy and Patti spotted a Wild Turkey at the side of the road.
