Florida-Dry Tortugas Trip, May 10, 2019
Several of us were not thinking much about birding as the Makai rocked and rolled its way back to Key West, but as we got within the shelter of the Marquesas Keys, the seas settled and, when we passed a buoy on our path, we noticed this Least Tern complaining about our presence. |

And then there were two Least Terns. |
Inside, Jan, Bill and the rest of us were getting ready and waiting to disembark. |
Pat adjusted her luggage and Steve had his bag at hand. |
Our cook, Sarah, was also doing some packing. |
Mary T started checking messages once we got phone service again while Phoenix and Dave looked on. |
Phoenix still had her binoculars ready for the next bird. |
Lou was over-prepared with his two sets of binoculars and two hats...and Mary T and Jan were amused. |
Lou Two-Hats checked his phone while Mary looked on. Shortly thereafter, we arrived at Key West, disembarked with our bags--with the help of the Makai crew--loaded up our cars and took off on our separate paths. |
