We birded at the OG&E Power Plant at Sooner Lake, then back out on Highway 177, just south of the power plant, we noticed a Barred Owl sitting on a wooden fence post on the east side of the road. It flew down to the ground once, then back up to its post, then sat there for us to take several pictures from across the highway. We left it still sitting there with the traffic buzzing by.
