Bob and I go way back to the 60's together; we were good friends and often times business partners. He even taught me to play blues, imagine that! Bob was a mentor to me and the most street savvy person I ever met. He's still kicking quite well "dude" so no worries there. I have a very special painting that Bob gifted me with many years ago and NO, there is a price for everything except this incredible work of love and art. He signed it as he told me so many times, "Do The Do, Bob Novak" Peter Trauth, Las Vegas NV...

Bob has been a life-long friend of mine & he's alive and well & living in Oak Park. His phone number is listed. Yes, he's now over 80. We played at an art opening together at the Zhou B Art Center last year. It was a 2-man show of our respective works. Bob never played better. Look him up!

I wonder how many women have their own painting of themselves hanging in their homes. I have 2 myself!

Today is Bob's 80th birthday! He's still alive and kicking in Oak Park.

Kathy, I first met Bob late '68, when he told me he was 40. If so, he's 82 or 83 now, an age when even the most youthful seniors tend to stop clubbing. Sorry, I've no specific info; neither I nor any mutual friends have seen Bob any more recently than you have.

Dear Ms. Jeffers,
I am an appraiser in Chicago & I am valuing two works by his artist. Can you tell me anything about him? Who handles his work? Who might be knowledgeable about his prices?
regards,
Daniel Pierre McClenaghan

Well it's been a year since my last post. I have wondered over the past 6 years what has happened with my friend Bob. I have heard nothing and just wondered if he is doing okay. I am still in Alabama and yes "The Bee's" painting is still hanging my living roon although it is a new living room. Can someone please let me know what has happened to Bob?

This is a great picture of Bob! I met Bob at Rosa's Lounge back in December of 2003. He sat down with us (he knew the people I was with) and we started talking. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. We started dating and going out to places with him was one of the thrills of a life time! He taught me so much more about blues music than I had ever known! He also painted one of his famous paintings of me for my 50th birthday and today it hangs proudly and prominantly in my living room. I have not heard from him or anything about him. Is he okay? Tell him I said hello if you can. I am now living in Alabama but I am visiting Chicago in July and would love to see him if possible. Thank you and God bless!
