This is part of the range we were shooting on. There are over a 100 pieces of steel placed over this terrain. This is the Known Distance part of the range used for teaching the art and science of Long Range Precision Rifle Shooting.
Shown are targets from 300 to 1000 yards. At 300,400,500,600, and 700 yards there are 4 targets at each distance. At 800, 900 and 1000 yards there are two targets per distance.
This shot really shows the photographic phenomena of Telephoto Compression. When using telephoto lenses distances get compressed visually. In reality there are 100 yards between target groups. Another way of looking at this is to imagine that there is full football field in between each set of targets.
