Stunning work from start to finish. v.
great synthesis and images in black and white
Il BW riesce sempre a enfatizzare il ritratto e a renderlo "vivo". Complimenti per l'intensità delle immagini. Stupende

Chris this has to be one of my fave galleries on Pbase. The light and shadow use in BW is so important and you've nailed every shot. Wish I had 100 votes.
An intensely, powerful gallery, Chris. First class, professionnal work !

a beautiful series Chris, wonderfuly captured moments and expressions, the high contrast gives it a special mood. great series.
very powerful work. stunning images!
for me, this one is even more dramatic in emotions and tension than the color gallery. the light adds an enormous emphasis which enhance the meaning. Brillant!
fantasitic collection of motion and emotion! works great in b&w! V.
I like this galery. COngratulations

Your control of light and camera display masterfully in this B&W work Chris! You have captured both pure art and raw intense emotion (as I have come to expect from you). Always my pleasure... VOTE!!!
Impressive collection. Technically impressive and really striking. thanks for sharing. V
Wonderful captures one after the other. Voted.
Flamenco is the rawest of all dance forms, each gesture seems like a matter of life or death. I saw that when Sara Baras flexed her body and stomped her feet at a performance in Madrid. Your gallery has captured the essence of this spellbinding, dazzling, exhilirating but ultimately terrifying ballet. Bravo!!!
Fantastic gallery ... every shot superb!!
Your way with light is exceptional. I love each and every one of these.
I guess it's flamenco of some kind? Very expressive dance. Dancers who expressed their feelings not only with the body, but also look, touch and attitude. And B&W suits here perfectly. I really loves graphical power of B&W and your choice of B&W looks to me very natural. The amazing quality of the light is is emphasizes the power of the dance. My favs mostly the images with more than one dancer, since they looks more dynamic to me. This is a great gallery and I vote with pleasure.
Christine P. Newman
Dance as a form of expression. You got it all!!! I love what you did here. What is unusual is the apparent age of the dancers. Usually, they are young and pretty because of their youth. Here, you have mature dancers, beautiful, but because of what they are, deep inside.
Very nice style my friend nice work
Fantastic B+W study.
Expressive...each and everyone. V
Great gallery. V
Thanks Chris for asking and giving me a chance to participate in your wonderful photography. I must say it's one of the most fascinating dance collection I've ever seen. And I'm not being biased ;P You'd captured the move, the tension, the passion, everything beautifully in many ways. What I love most is the amazing light falling on each dancer, accentuating their body form and their expression. And of course my fave kind of tight composition! Biggest vote from a humbled me :-)
Definitely yor best work Chris. I'll just add a big Vote! Congratulations.
Chris this is a beautiful gallery.
Every image has a strong expressive quality, and each is exceptional in it's own right.
Amazing, yes, very very expressive! V

Excellent collection. V
Chris...this is an amazing gallery...thank you...v
Wonderful monochrome work, Chris! Love how you've captured the intensity of the dancers...great compositions too! Vote.
This is a very strong gallery, Chris. It is not better or worse than your other one -- just different. When you used color to punctuate your sequencing, it moved us from symbolism to realty and back again. In this black and white gallery, you lose the advantage of that punctuation and shifting from the symbol to the real to the symbol again. On the other hand, this gallery of thumbs looks cleaner as a whole, is simpler, and more graphic. Ai Li places great emphasis on form, sometimes at the expense of the message, so she would naturally prefer this approach. I like it too, but the other works just as well for me in its own way. When you get a chance, study both my galleries on color and on black and white, read the introductions, where I explain my reasoning at length.
