"Icy Bank" impresses me, because it mimicks an aerial view of what might be an aerial view of---for example---the French Riviera. The "coastline" seems to run up the image for miles before it suddenly veers west at the top border of the picture. One can almost feel the dizzying feeling of vertigo, as one peers down from the airplane at this faraway piece of terra firma. It is one of those illusions engendered by that magic we call photography, aided and abetted by effective composing.
