No, the shots of vultures I posted in the galleries today are from a tiny zoo nearby. These birds are unable to survive in the wild, one because of a wing problem, the other because it's nearly blind. On this day they were both in good spirits though, basking happily in rare April sunlight. The two of them usually hide away in the large area they share with a couple deer and a pair of peacocks, where a nasty chainlink fence foils any attempts to take their picture. With the sun's sudden appearance, they both seemed to throw caution to the wind and let me snap merrily
away.

Wow...did you leave something dead outside just to lure this "beauty" in?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
This beholder judges the bird to be beautiful.
In addition, considering how it makes its living, the bird's design is amazing.

Somehow I just can't bring myself to say beautiful. The photo is outstanding but man is that bird beyond ugly. The scientists say that 99% of the animals can't recognize themselves in a mirror. A testament to the wisdom of the maker in this case. V
