He does look very odd at that. When I noticed it in the BW image, I went back to the original color shot. He looks the same way there---as if his coat was made of corduroy. The horse is a speckled roan, almost brindle in color. I thought for awhile that maybe he had been saved. You can see "tracks" like that on sheep, for example. But I can see the same horizontal pattern running across his legs. No one would shave a horse's legs on the horizontal. It's either a weird artifact in the camera or the result of something peculiar I did in the processing.

Have you applied an artificial texture to this? I see horizontal lines across the horse's chest/leg at the top right of the photo. And the texture of the ground under the horse looks odd.
I like the unusual perspective all these pictures bring. Everything is different when you look at it from an unusual perspective. Good work.
