As someone who can only define beauty or art when he sees it and by the enjoyment he derives from it,your images rank highly. I like the contrast between the polished and the natural. The stone is climbing the wall like ivy and looks alive. It appels to me. If I were a teacher, I would love having you as a student. I would learn a lot.
This is a companion photo to the one it's next to in my gallery "Construction." I'm learning photography and post processing at the same time. This image was an exercise to differentiate the look of the raw hewn stone from the brick. Because the composition isn't great, I did play with blur and contrast to try to deemphasize the brick structures. Plus, I wanted to try to hang on to a little of the blue left in the evening sky.
