After a series of strong rains, I went into the Superstition Mountains to see all of the water that results after a good rain. The day was very flat and I had to result to BW to bring out the natural contrast on many images. Taken near the trail Head of the First Water Trail, this show one of the few patches of blue I saw that day. A red filter was applied in post processing to give a strong sky contrast and "light up" the brownish glow of the Cholla. BTW, for those of you wondering what it would be like to do an end over into one of these things on a mountain bike... It HURTS!!!
