This image is taken in mid to late winter at the intersection of the Dutchman Trail and Cavalry Trail in the Superstition Mountain Wilderness area. It is facing North with the sun directly to my back. This is taken in the harsh light of midday but I do like how it turned out. This time of year is a great time to get out in the Superstitions because it is easy to find an abundance of water and the temperatures are in range between 65 and 75 degrees F.
You might notice the vivid blue sky in this image. This is not an enhancement or a result of a polarizer. The sky REALLY was that blue.
