The Gardens

When we moved here during the late summer in 2000, the backyard was shaded by several large Oak, Pine, Birch, & Beech trees. It is actually on the edge of the Carolinian forest. The only thing that would grow in the centre of this long and narrow area was grass. Finally in 2002 we had the yard landscaped so that native plants would entice birds, butterflies and hummingbirds.
