Critters of all shapes and sizes

There is a wonderful variety of creatures living here ...... frogs, rabbits, coyotes, fox, turkeys, porcupines, bats that help keep the mosquito population down and a variety of moths and butterflies ... the list is endless.

We've had wonderful experiences working in our gardens alongside frogs .... they wait patiently for us to disturb bugs and then they quickly devour them. One does not need chemical pesticides .... as we can count on birds, bats & frogs to keep the numbers down!!

The endangered Snapping and Painted turtles lay their eggs in various areas on the property. We counted more than 30 turtles last season - a conservative estimate as we were often off the property.

Ontario Nature has been an excellent reference for us while living on this property. Watch for links embedded in various photos (eg Dragon flies: http://onnaturemagazine.com/?s=dragon+fly )
