Piping Plovers Nest at Sauble Beach
The endangered Piping Plovers arrived at Sauble Beach in 2007 and have nested there since then.

The third week in July, dismal weather, 18C, 4 week old chicks are hiding behind remenants of childrens sand castles

A week later ......
Chicks are enjoying some warm weather
Spend days all alone as dad is off on his own

Canada Day & weather is still cold
It does 'not' want to go to the shoreline! Mom is wasting her time.

Nest #2: A week later .....'First born" is 16 days old and he does not want to feed at the shore
