well, camera was held in the vertical position so the flash unit will always cast a side shadow (left or right depending on which way you hold the body). guessing with a 135mm lens i was about 25ft away for this shot.

How'd you get this flash shadow? It's really strong, but off to the right as you look at the girls, which means the flash is from the left, but the composition is pretty much from the front of the subjects ... were you quite a ways away? It's great how you caught her looking at the camera (and some others as well).
