MIMUS POLYGLOTTOS PADVOTIS

This might look like just any old mockingbird, but the fact is that it is not.
This is the the first born son of the original mimus polyglottos padvotis,
a new mutation of an old favorite.
An ethereal wisp of a trifurcated shuttlecock, this mimus, while
an innately tolerant ornithologic being, eshews hubris and
doesn't much care for flotsam or jetsam either.
It crows in many tongues but is never one to gloat.
The richness of its being is palpable to all who are lucky enough
to set eyes on this splendid creature.
Though I had other photos from today, I could not imagine not posting
this once in a lifetime find.
Those of you who live along either coast would do well to keep your eyes open
as these little fellows will be out in force for the next 8 days only...
after that they will be returning home to hibernate until the new season
which could be as many as 8 years from now.
