"TOP HAT AND TAILS"
Whitby Castle
Rye, NY

I was one of the photographers for a
black tie optional dinner dance and auction for the SPCA.
Dogs were invited and welcome guests.
I have never seen anything quite so funny in all my life.

I am nowhere near having all the photos online yet, but
please do have a look at some of the other photos by clicking here
Along with the portraits I also took some photos of the dining and dancing but it is going to be a while before I weed through those.

For those of you wondering if the dogs had seats at the tables... they all were with their owners at the tables but they weren't supposed to be on the furniture. They were anyway though

by the way, this is Saturday's photo. I am a little bit behind schedule with getting things posted.

Fabulous Liza - each one a perfect studio portrait of medium format quality - and taken with great imagination and flair. Thanks!

This is my favorite, but I like the one of the lady who brought her dog's portrait to the party. I'm trying to imagine having Sam at this occasion.....no it is just to horrible to imagine.

Great portrait. They say people tend to look like their dogs but in this case it's definitely not true. Now, that would have been a perfect dog for Winston Churchill. :)

Excellent portrait!!! ... and funny :)

Love both facial expressions, this is funny.

Nice Gallery, Liza. The portraits are excellent shot and funny as well. Looks like some evening with a lot of fun organized by some "poor" :-) people of the region in one of the better fast food places, hehe. The castle looks real good, seems to be a good place to go sometime as well.

Very Good!

You show some real talent here Liza. The entire gallery is fascinating. And this is one of the best. Now you think I'm talking about your excellent photographic skills? But I'm not. I am referring to your work as an anthropologist. Your study and documentation of human behvior in [high] society how people relate to and share their world with their dogs is really QUITE revealing.
Good show Dr. L.

I love the expression of his face, determined yet excited! Classic for holding back a blush! lol Nice shot! Very well composed.

Great pose! Wonderful images!

This is really quite brilliant! Technically superb, for starters. But the composition is awesome. This is one of those cases where the dog and owner begin to take on characteristics of each other! Great photo.

:) Not quite the usual pet owner type photo. I like it.

Liza, this photo is quite nice, but the whole thing is hilarious. Very creative poses.

Just went thru them all Liza, and this is the one I liked most. It looked like lots of fun, and interesting moments, I'm sure. Some very very funny doggy duds. Did the dogs have places at the table, too?
