Thank You JT

A dream is becoming reality for 12-year-old J.T. Robertson. Robertson has always had a passion for trains and wanted his peers to enjoy one of his joys.

J.T. has always been determined to have everyone ride the Arcade and Attica Rail Road, even collecting bottles and cans so his classmates could experience a train ride. But after going on his annual train ride with his peers, he discovered the steam train isn't handicap accessible.

Now, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is helping J.T. with his wish, transforming a train car at the Arcade and Attica Rail Road Station to become handicap accessible. Crews from the show, along with local volunteers worked around the clock today.

"This is definitely outside of our format. Usually we make over houses, but this is special and because one little boy wants to make a difference we're here," said Michael Moloney, a designer for the show. "We're going to make a difference. I think what's really cool about this whole thing is one person can make a difference."

"In a couple of days kids that would never be able to ride a train are going to be able to ride a train," added designer Paige Hemmis. "They're going to be able to pull their wheelchairs on this train behind us and go see the countryside just like everyone else."

Wonderful Gallery! Voted! We recently had the show come to Geneva, NY. It was so exciting to watch the home go up. This particular show will be on this Sunday.
