When I first moved to Bainbridge Island my folks rented a small 3 bedroom cottage right by this old dock. The dock was originally built to serve a passenger ferry that ran
between Bainbridge Island and Bremerton so shipyard workers could get to work. The ferry no longers runs to Bremerton and the old dock is now part of the city park system.
