This makes me smile 'coz it reminds me a trip I made in Tucson a few years back and I had met the "Cactus Police". Being from Canada, I was wondering.. what the hell is the "Cactus Police " ? And then I learned that it was a very serious thing 'coz at the time (I hope it doesn't still !), housing developers, landscaping outfits, would go in the desert and steal big cactus for landscaping their new houses etc. Since it takes... hundreds of years for them to grow... do the maths !
Reminds me of a nice trip many moons ago !
