24-Sep-2011 Tantallon

North Berwick

This must be the smallest harbour in Scotland, hewn out of the red sandstone bedrock! With Tantallon Castle in the background left, and the Bass Rock background right.

certainly a compact harbour with an entrance that demands some skill to negotiate...the perspective adds dynamism on this glorious day...V

Super colour contrasts Stewart - the rich reds of the sandstone are a perfect foil for the blues of the sea and sky

Strong comp and I love the way the sky shapes compliment the harbour .... Wonderful image!

Super little harbour love the way it is built into the sandstone - must be tough getting in there

Indeed a cosy safe harbour. It must have taken a good few man hours to construct.

beautiful and the boat adds just that little bit more.

It might be big enough to get the whole UK fishing fleet in soon!
