16_Mar_2010 A Dying Breed

Selby, Yorkshire

Not much hope for traditional tobacconists,
once the ban on tobacco packaging comes into force...
a window full of blank boxes with health warnings
wouldn't have any visual appeal or character....

Somehow I can envisage the shopkeeper....great catch.

Great framing ... love the smell of a pipe ... wonder if he gets much trade now?

It's very quaint, would be a pity to see it go.

If the ban doesn't see the shop off, the subsidence will! Well seen and captured.

It looks so quaint.

Surely this sort of shop is exempt. Wonderful looking place. I'm not a smoker and hate the smell, but fresh tobacco is so different.
