Fascinating interlinking of the various parts of the image; lamp posts, people, streets, buildings, spires, towers, paving stones and more. They all line up and deliver us to the foreground in the Castlegate.

Another great b&w street scene. V

Brilliant composition. This POV leads the eye around the square and down the street! BV

Very nice b&w work with all of these details and textures on the stones. Nice perspective in this wide shot.

Wonderful perspective and great mood in here with nice light!

Great perspective of this classic Aberdeen landmark ... the processing keeps some of the more modern buildings out of view ... love the position of the woman walking ... I do wonder if the first lamp post obscures the town house a little ... wonderful image ... V

One of my favorites from your series so far... the b&w conversion you do is incredible!
Phillip Normanton15-Jan-2010 00:12
I can't see a single thing in there that says 'modern' - excellent!

I am amazed at how you continually manage to make shots taken in 2010 look like they are from the 19th century..

I like the dampness on the ground, it really adds to the wonderful photo.
