Dee Wright Observatory, the top of which has a compass pointing to 13(?) different mountain peaks, is at the summit of McKenzie Pass, so it signaled the end of Cycle Oregon 2007's climbing. It wasn't difficult to read the relief in many riders' faces. Cycle Oregon sited its last rest stop there too, so a lot of cyclists gathered, waiting for friends. I wish I'd handed my camera off, like others of Team Rubber Chicken, for a final team photo before the descent into Sisters.
The downhill into Sisters was another fun one, but I got slowed down behind cars who couldn't pass cyclists on the narrow, winding road.
