The Puako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve is accessible from the north end of the Mauna Lani Resort property, and with the adjacent Holoholokai Beach Park, worth the short time it takes to visit. Don't be deterred by the sign at the trailhead that says the walk is over a mile roundtrip. It's actually only a couple hundred yards to where the petroglyphs are.
