I use to work as a designer on this ship. Is a 6th ship in a row for Odfjell.
That ship is 185b m long and on open deck have more than 30 km (yes, kilometers)of pipes.

My father was Staff Captain on the Bow Sea in the late seventies to early eighties. When I was a kid my sister, mother and I visited him on board. We stayed for three months. A very exciting time for a young boy indeed. We visited many countries during our journey.

But it seems this is a newer Bow Sea and not the old one. I think it's been decommissioned and recycled. I remember it having only two of those exterior tanks and they were situated near the front of the ship. The new one has six.

I will remember you always, Bow Sea!

Dear Mr. Smera,

I am contacting you as member of the advertising agency envise agency for visualisation. In my current position I am the authorized representative of all marketing matters of the marine supplier Becker Marine Systems GmbH & Co. KG. (www.becker-marine-systems.com)

To update our Becker Marketing Data Base, I am kindly enquiring for available press photographs of the new build vessels of the series No. B 588 "Bow Sea", "Bow Summer", "Bow Sky" or "Bow Star", that have been fitted with Becker rudder systems, Schilling type.

As a representative of Becker Marine Systems I would be very grateful if you could make such material (especially photos in high resolution) available to us. Today I have alreday downloded the very nice picture of "Bow Sea" from the websitewww.pbase.com. Do we have the permission to use this photo as reference for our client on printing and promotion materials?

I would be very pleased about a positive answer.

Kind regards from Germany
