Some shots of the two ski lakes at Thorn Ridge.

Sunset Lake (Lake 1) excavation was completed in September of 2000 and was filled enough to ski in April of 2001. It is about 22 acres when full and 2600' long with a slalom course.
The lake is about 300' wide at the east end and about 15 deep at the deepest part. The lake runs WSW to ENE. Sunset Lake has a covered boat dock in a cove on the east end of the lake where up to 4 boats can dock. On the south shore, there is a smaller dock with a sandy beach and a pavillion area with a sand volleyball court and horse shoe pits.

Sunrise Lake (Lake 2) excavation was completed in September of 2005 and was filled to overflowing in March of 2007. It is about 20 acres and is about 16' deep. This lake runs about due east west. The boat dock and beach areas were completed in summer 2007.
