Our Jesse

#27
Today, we took Jesse to the Vet. for his teeth to be cleaned under anaesthetic. He was found to have a very aggressive bone cancer, and the decision was made to euthanase him while still under anaesthetic; it was a very peaceful end; if only humans were allowed to go without suffering. He will be missed; we have had him for 14 years.

Oh my, so sad and sorry to hear about this. But you gave him the gift of a peaceful end with no suffering.

This is one of the most difficult decisions to make and I know having to do so can tear you apart. We had a similar decision to make years ago with out first pug, Pooh, but we could not let him suffer, and that is what would have happened because of his multiple health problems that had no cure. My heart goes out to you. Hold dear your precious memories of Jesse...

Oh how terrible, but the kindest thing to do not to let him suffer!

Oh, I'm so sorry about Jesse. You have me crying. I know it's for the best, but it is always so hard afterward.
