A place of quiet reflection. Taken at the Sand Creek Massacre Historical Site. In November, 1864, it was here that Col. John Chivington and his calvarymen attacked a peaceful band of Cheyenne and Arapahoe. Up to 200 were killed an mutilated, two thirds women and children.
