Pocket Protectors 03_14_08.jpg

Just playing around today here at home. This was taken with natural light out on the patio. These are all truly handguns made to be tossed in a pocket. From top to bottom we have a Smith & Wesson 642-1, an I-frame Smith & Wesson Pre-model 30 .32 , a Baby Browning and a Colt Model 1908 .25 ACP that is bumping up on 100 years old.

Bill, having some serious Wanda withdrawal here. Last great post was 1-15. Looking forward to more of the lovely Mrs. Bates.

Greetings from the Middle East. Like the gun collection but, Bill we are missing your little pocket pistol Wanda... Cheers

Sorry, that's 1917 .45

As usual nice work Bill. I have two of these. The 642 was a birthday present from my wife a few years back and the Colt was my Grandmother’s purse pistol. As fitting a lady of that era it has mother of pearl grips.

I agree with Sam, the I frame does look a lot like a 1947 .45

I've been longing for a 640 series for some time now. The truly enclosed hammer make for the perfect pocket gun. Nice collection.

A great presentation of these handguns, Bill.

The .32 S&W is similar in appearance to the 1917 .45 S&W I have, but mine's definitely not for pocket use. :-)
