Wanda 08_10_07 bones.jpg

This image was Wanda's concept. I'll give her credit for be willing to sit in the ashes and dirt.

I love what it says to me. We have the charred tree and branches bending over lovingly protecting the bones. We have Mother nature just touching the lost soul of the creature and its life force blowing her hair out and away as that force travels up her graceful arm. as in the other images Nature's face and true identity is obscured.

Yeah I like this one.

Beautiful image and model. Great photographer also.

Beyond description! The right touch, pose and lighting cause the viewer
to ponder why Mother Nature is so solemn, she has lost one of her creations.
Classy shot, classy Lady, and a sharp shooting photographer.
Darn, it don’t get any better than this!

Excellent work!!

Bill, checked out the version with the blue tint - I'd have to call it a toss-up! I love the B&W version, and agree the image does "scream" to be done in B&W...but it gave a heck of yelp to be done in blue as well! Best image of the series IMHO...all of them very nice. Keep chasing the light!

This ones my favorite by far, probably because I know what a softie Mother Wanda is about animals. Looking at this it's like I can feel her pain for this poor critter.
The hair is awesome too.

Nicely done. I prefer the B&W to the blue.

Great series.

We shot them all with the tungsten white balance. This one just screamed to be b&w. I did do a b&w with a very blue tint for this gallery just to keep some balancehttp://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/fire_devastation

This may not have been the image you were striving for...but it is, IMHO, one of the stronger images of the group. Outstanding series! There's a magical quality about this one...did you do a version with tungsten wb on this one as well?

Take care.

Surprised there are no comments yet on this one. Probably my favorite from this series, the light, pose, composition & framing are perfect...but of course it's the hair that makes it truly special. It's like a studio glamour shot that could have never happened
