Terrific compressed perspective, love the crowded feeling and heat of the action!

Super!

Good cross distribution of jersey colors balanced by all of the white helmets plus that fella right in the middle of the pack (and clock position) who is prominently unique with heads-up body posture. Bill, you did a great job of posing them...
Isn't table-top photography fun!?

No, wait- nevermind...

have to say this photo turned out just how I imagined it 4 hours before taking it. I told Wanda I wanted to headed out to the old Pony Express Route to take a photo of them coming down one of the hills all compressed up with hopefully the heat waves distorting the image. There was some heat waves but with the wind gust not many. We were setup for the photo an hour and half before the riders crested the hill.

Wanda suffers ADD. Just waiting around so I can take a picture drives her nuts. Here is how she occupied some of her time.

Well this photo by Wanda will answer the question of me peddling to be out front

I have been on the bike every other day since the infamous photo after my first ride. It is getting easier.

One mistake up front would really hurt...

Gordon W, you've answered my question.
Where's Bill?

Great shot. Nice use of compression with your telephoto.

Very striking image. You must have pedaled like a crazy person to get enough lead on the rest of the pack to be able to turn and get this shot of them. ;-)

Nice, sharp shot Bill.

Great use of that big lens. The foreshortening makes this into an excellent image.
