I guess the different backround is what does it.I was wondering why the dof was so different and didnt realize the backround wasnt the same ,Thanks for taking the time to answer,and when are you doing the self portrait thing again?You should make it a regular entry.A self portrait gallery?

Dave,

You asked "why are they different?" I am assuming you asked that question because the same camera and same lens were used for each shot. However, even though the images are of the same bird, each shot was taken by a different person, the bird was in a different spot with a different background, different lighting angles and the distance between the bird and the photographer was different in each shot as well. So that is why they look "different".
