Today was my day off from Cabela's this week. I made good use of it. Wanda and I spent from dawn 'til dusk up Diamond Fork Canyon watching and photographing wildlife.
We watched about 50 wild turkeys fly from there frosty roost high in the cottonwoods at dawn. It was still to dark to take photos. A little after sunrise I did get a photo of an immature bald eagle siting high in a cottonwood tree http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/55217064 It was seven bellow zero Fahrenheit when I snapped this picture.
As usual Bill you do an excellent job on the photos. Thanks for the comparision shot showing the size of the eagle to the mule deer. I knew they were big but this gave me a better idea of just how big. Beautiful country and animals. Seven degrees is cold, its a good thing Wanda is hardy as well as beautiful.
