Great Basin Rattlesnake 07_05_05.jpg

These little beauties grow to only about three feet. Don't let its small size foul you. The Great Basin Rattler is every bit as dangerous as some of its bigger cousins.

Nice shot Bill, but I think I would have had to stack the 1.4 & 2x teleconverter's to get this one.

Perfect catch.
And don't forget to send Canon an extra check for that long lens that may have save your life! ;-)

How come the 300mm and not the 24-70mm, just kidding. Nice shot

Great picture. Did you get one when he struck at you? You know the photographer's creed: Always get the picture. :-)

Excellent capture, Bill! I've got to show this one to my mother. She goes absolutely snakey (pardon the pun) when she sees a snake. This one should send shudders right up her spine. :)
