Wanda03_28_05.jpg

Here is Wanda repelling for the very first time. She is at the top of a 100 foot sheer cliff with our son-in-law Jeff. The terror on Wanda's face is real. Jeff and the grand sons were excellent and patient teachers.

Here is Skyler my 8 year old grand son going over the edge first to show Wanda how easy it is
Jeff and Jayden showing how it really should be done
Jayden showing off...by now it was spitting rain mixed with snow

Last Wanda now relaxed and hanging out

It's great to see Wanda in more "every day" situations.

The only reason I consented to this image was because after all most a year, I felt like we were running out of ideas for pictures! My son in law had invited Me to do this many times. In fact, once I had made it to the top of the cliff, but looked down and chickened out! (laffin) That a was a few years ago. Jeff kept bugging Me to give it a try and I kept telling him I thought he was just hoping to through his mother in law off a cliff!

I finally got brave and gave it a try. It was fun, but I was scared so much I was shaking! The things I do just to get a picture. I am so glad the PAD project of ME is over and now! (grin)

I was happy to stay on the flat ground and take pictures.

She does love me, thanks you so much Wanda.

Now this project is coming to an end I'll be getting back to more wildlife photography and this lens will be a big help. The 300f/2.8L IS when you add a set of extenders is like getting three long, fantastic lenses. You have a set that is 300mmf/2.8, 420mmf/4 and 600mmf/5.6 which is great wildlife setup.

Great photo, it scares me! Course I have height issues anyway, which explains one of the reasons I am in Florida.

Great lens, I looked it up on B&H, great present, a lot of flowers. I think she likes you!

How could you possibly come to that conclusion? Ropelling, perhaps. After almost a year of being entertained, it comes to this.

Nice shot, once again.

Wanda, You are braver than me. There's no way you'd catch me hanging on the side of a cliff like that, I guess I must be getting old. You're grandkids lack of fear is awesome, it reminds me of growing up in Hawaii, my dad used to take me out bodysurfing in 10-15' waves and it never scared me a bit. Now when I go back there on vacation I think to myself, what in the world where my parents thinking? I guess if we hadn't moved away I would still think it was nothing but fun. Jim

Wanda is such a trooper.....However if you rotate this 90 ccw she is standing on level ground. You are pretty tricky Bill!!!! Just kidding, looks like a lot of fun.
