Wanda10_16_04.jpg

We spent the early afternoon at a near by marsh and wetlands area after making a floral delivery to a hospital an hour south of us. I was attracted to the colors here and light was good for mid-day.

I thought I would give the 135mmf/2.8 Soft Focus lens another try. I stopped it down a bit more than in yesterdays photo which lessens the affect of the soft focus. This is at f/5.6 and position 1 on the soft focus lens. I'm finding setting 1 looks best from about f/3.2 to about f/5.6. When stopped down past f/5.6 it just looks like a photo from a cheap lens. From f/3.2 to about 5.6 things have a nice soft glow but are still sharp. I don't seem to be able to completely get the same effect from Photoshop. I think I like what the lens does better but the light needs to be just right, which is a little back lighting on the subject.

Another easy shot to pose for and one that made it to My list of "favorites" (that list sure is getting long!) When I look at this image it reminds Me of what a lazy afternoon in the country feels like. It calls to the inner child. If only there had been a long, overhanging branch to tie a rope swing to! That would have been perfect! (s)
