These are A. Fuente's 2009 release of the Anejo. It is a cigar that they do limited number of each year and release near Thanksgiving. The small ones are the Anejo 46 which is my favorite along with the very rare Anejo 77 Shark. The Shark is the one without the cedar sheath.
This is a great smoke, one of my favorites. The filler blend is said to be a combination of the blends used for Opus X, Don Carlos, and Hemingway cigars, all of which are themselves secret which makes the Añejo blend an enigma wrapped in a mystery. The wrapper is a Connecticut broadleaf that has been aged for three to four years, including six to eight months in cognac barrels. The taste is heavenly and worth the effert to find them at Thanksgiving.
They smoke better with age. These are for smoking a year or two from now. I'm just smoking the 2008 now.
