We went hunting on one of the local game reserves today. Timber had a very good day. He pointed two chuckars and one rooster pheasant. He bumped a hen pheasant and one chuckar. It will take some time and lots of birds for him to figure out how hard he can press the birds with out having them flush. He still isn't totally understanding what we're doing but he is getting the hang of things. We left him on this bird for a few minutes before I flushed it. He repositioned a couple of times but when he stopped he was rock solid.
We let the chuckars fly and let Timber chase them just to get him excited about finding birds. He still pretty much is a puppy and to him it is all puppy play.
