This image illustrates the color fringing of my Nikkor 85mm F/1.8 on OOF areas.

All lines on this test chart are black except for the chart author's (Tim Jackson) contact info which is blue. This was taken under incandescent light with incandescent WB setting. EV +1.7

OOF areas beyond the focus point containing high contrast edges have a green fringe, while OOF ares in front of the focus have a reddish fringe.

Photo was taken wide open. Notice that I have about 10mm of front focus. The distance to the focus point on the test chart was about 3 feet. Hand held.
