As I walked towards the memorial from thr trenches I felt the air go cold, the wind changed to sound like gunfire, the feeling of being surrounded by other men rushing past me as I slowly walked up throught the scrub to the clearing.Having read and been told about this place from a yound age I was intune with the surrounding area and could feel something else that wasn't normally present, could be the spirits of the fallen reacting their heroic charge once again on the day or was it my mind willing me to feel their spirit, either way the feeling was one of courage and strength from young warriors to fellow Aussie servicemen who was there on there day to pay homage to the men of his home state- the 8th Lighthorse and the state- the 10th Western Australian Lighthorse he now lives in
