On Monday 05/11/07 I had to travel to Thessaloniki, Greece for an interview for my resident's Visa.
It involved a 6 hr road trip from Chelopech, an overnight stay, a 12 minute interview where I was asked two questions, paid L20, 6 hr trip back to Chelopech and the good news is I have to do the same when the Visa is granted.

Greece was an explosion of colour after BG, BG is grey and drab, the buildings are old and look run down, Greece I found that the villages were looked after, there was even gardens,which I haven't seen in BG.
Spent the night at the Hotel Queen Olga, a nice little hotel, had dinner at the Lazy Lizard, my first steak dinner in Europe, very nice. After breakfast had 1 1/2 hrs to kill before going to the BG embassy, walked along thew waterfront to Alexander's monument and back to the hotel to meet my driver, who said about 10 words in 24 hrs. After the interview it was back to BG, before we left I had the driver stop whilst I played Japanese tourist at the old walls of the city. Finally leaving for BG about 1130.
