An Old Deserted Building

A bank maybe? The date at the facade peak is 1915.
Along U.S. Highway 61 in Frontenac Minnesota.

Wow, this is so fascinating and Jola's info adds to the intrigue of this very cool little building. Not what one would expect to find along a highway! V

I found this:

The Greek revival bank in Frontenac, MN–aka Frontenac Cycle Sales–has a cast iron facade identical to the historic bank in Marine-on-St-Croix, according to A Guide.

Greek classic architecture looks weird in this place, cool find. V.

How interesting that the date seems to be fresh paint while the rest of the building seems to be in total decay. I wonder what historical significance this old building has to the area and why it either hasn't been restored in some form or else just demolished. Someone must own it. Very interesting image.

Nicely captured.

you could put your money on it being a bank, although with those Ionic columns it could have been another seat for oracles, or a New Age spa..

It's quite an elaborate building and could indeed have been a bank. I can't imagine what else would look like that!
